Relaunch of the information portal hae-erkennen.de

Spot-on landing for World HAE Day on 16 May: Dorothea Küsters Life Science Communications is responsible for redesigning the content of the website on hereditary angioedema (HAE).

The rare genetic disease Hereditary Angioedema (HAE) affects an estimated 1600 people in Germany who suffer from recurring swelling attacks on the skin and mucous membranes of the entire body. The relaunch of the information portal hae-erkennen.de with new content and updated design took place just in time for World HAE Day on May 16, 2020. "Many affected people do not know that they suffer from HAE because the symptoms are often confused with other diseases," explains CSL Behring, a biotech company with German sites in Marburg and Hattersheim. hae-erkennen.de therefore provides information on the symptoms for which a blood test for HAE may be useful and the treatment options available. A self-test also motivates patients to consult their doctor if there is a strong suspicion. Videos and animations describe what many affected persons have experienced until the correct diagnosis is made. For patients who have already been diagnosed with HAE, the information portal offers tips on how to deal with the disease in everyday life.

Dorothea Küsters Life Science Communications was responsible for the relaunch of the portal from the content side, Care+Com was responsible for concept and design.
